Well written book, as a Diabetic Educator I found this book easy to read with case studies that were very helpful. The log pages for patients are excellent , using them all.

I got this because I was diagnosed as pre diabetic. It was complicated to understand and didn't help at all. I did better going on to the American Diabetes Assoc. website

I am a little disappointed in this book, but it is my own fault. I thought it would take on a simpler approach to explaining about carbs and counting but it is just too technical for me to follow. I did notice it was more for health care professionals.Lesson learned!Seller had very fast shipping and book is in excellent condition.

I didn't start playing until about three and half years ago, and already i sight read better than expected. I've met drummers who've been playing drums for 10 or more years, and have yet bothered to learn how to sight read. As a result, they've either struggled playing in a big band or have simply quit playing all together. To play in such a band or in a studio (for that matter), knowing how to read a chart and not knowing can mean the difference between getting paid to play, or NOT.Although this is an advanced book, it is essential in familiarizing yourself with odd time groupings - as it is quite common with 20th Century music. The Reading in 4/4 Time book is a prerequisite and should be worked with before attempting this one. Also, a metronome that has 3+2, 2+3, 4+3, etc., groupings is recommended. If there is anything that I've learned in my so-few years of experience, is that it is not about how long you've been playing, but how much you've put into it.

I'm a professional musician (stefanbauer.net), and I find that this book helps me to gradually get a handle on reading odd meters. It helps me to learn to feel the components of an uneven meter, and to intuitively find the best way to break it down for reading purposes. Starting with Louis Bellson's and Gil Breines' other book 'Modern Reading Text in 4/4' - itself a source of never-ending challenges - is definitely a great warm-up.

The basic concept involves eating a ridiculously low amount of calories two days out of the week. I do not believe for one second that this would work for me, because I would binge eat the very next day. This is not the diet plan for me. However, I do plan to keep a copy of this book solely for the nutritional information and meal ideas contained within.** I received The 2 Day Diet e-book at no charge in order to read it and provide some honest feedback about it. The statements made above are reflective of my personal opinion of this e-book and have not been influenced by anyone. Like so many others, I often look to product reviews when deciding on a purchase. Therefore, I never give anything less than the truth. Thank you for taking the time to read my review. **

The 2 Day Diet is a brief overview or introduction to the 2 Day Diet Bible by the same author. This is a companion book more than anything. Want to read the Cliff notes for the 2 Day Diet Bible? Here it is. It does have some extra recipes that are decent. I'm just getting a little tired of authors milking a book by essentially giving us the preview, tossing in some extra recipes and attempting to pass it off as a stand alone book. This isn't what I'd call a book as much as a... accompaniment. It gives super short hand detail of the 5:2 diet and I'm pretty sure most people vaguely familiar with the concept won't learn a thing. So you get the intro and then a ton of recipes. Here's the saving grace: this book actually breaks down recipes by breakfast, lunch and dinner and does so in a way that is easy to conceptualize what your day's meals might look like.Disclaimer: I was provided a free digital copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. I found several items to be repeats of general advice like eating more fruits and vegetables, drinking more water, and choosing lower carbohydrate food.I do like the concept of the book, encouraging people to ease into healthier eating is a great way to keep people from crash dieting.You can tell that the author is not a native English speaker because of some incorrect word choices. The recipes also switch from imperial measurements to metric, even in the same recipe. Otherwise it is a nice selection of recipes to get you started.The other improvement I suggest to the author is to break the pages so each recipe starts on a new page.If the book is free or you haven't been exposed to the idea of fasting it won't hurt to download and take a look through it. This little guide is absolutely fantastic. I downloaded it for free using the Kindle app on my Android and now I have access to it when ever I need it. There are tons of fantastic recipes; husband approved recipes! The overall goal of this book to to teach how to diet for 2 days and then be responsible on the others. By giving your body time to rest, you can continue to lose weight instead of plateauing. I highly recommend this book to people that are not familiar with the kitchen and dieting. I also recommend this to the people that do know all about health because there are so many delicious recipes. I downloaded the book from my iPhone Kindle app. It was really easy to download. The download took less than 30 seconds. You can even change the font and also the background color from white, tan, and black to see it better. There is about 35 pages which gives you specifics on what to eat on the 2 fasting days (since 2 Day diet). There are actually a lot of options to choose from on the 500 calorie meal plans (600 calories for men). I'm no chef so these recipes are something I can actually make as they don't call for a spice I can only get at a specific store. I think this is a great way to start for someone who wants to diet but does not want to totally deprive themselves. It can be any 2 days as well which is good. Just commit to those days. I am totally excited to try this diet as I will be starting tomorrow. I will also do an update as well to see how it goes!(I received this product for free to review)

By far the most poorly thought-out recipe book I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. There is no index. There is a Table of Contents, but then the pages aren't numbered. She has a "bonus section" which has some suggested daily meal plans, but the recipes for the meals are not given; rather, she names off commercially packaged frozen meals. As for the few recipes in the book, they do not have complete weights, measures and portions listed. I could write more, but it's not worth my time to have to think about this anymore.
